Tri-County Australian Shepherd
Working Association
TCASWA is an affiliate of the Australian Shepherd Club of America (ASCA) drawing members from San Diego, Riverside and Los Angeles Counties. Although primarily dedicated to the development of Australian Shepherds and their working abilities, all breeds are welcome to join the club and can fully participate in all club activities. Membership in ASCA is not required.
Our club typically holds three herding trials per year and at least one clinic. We hold tracking trials when sufficient participants are interested. The herding trials are usually held in late October/early November, early January, and May to early June.
This club is well known for its friendly and helpful members who are in all stages of development from National Champions to beginners. Members are also heavily involved in other dog-related activities such as agility, obedience, confirmation, tracking, therapy, etc. and freely aid fellow members (and guests) in these other areas.

Current events: 1. Our next trial will be May 2nd and 3rd at Cal Poly Riverside. Click here for flyer and here for entry form. Friday's events will start at 9 AM while Saturday and Sunday handlers' meetings will start at 7AM promptly. 2. We will hold a Sherry Baker Clinic right after the trial on May 10th and 11th. All training slots are currently full, but the clinic can be audited and her lectures are well considered. Check back for details. 5. Our next club meeting will be at the Temecula Sizzler July 12th starting around 5:30 PM for Dutch-treat dinner as usual. It meeting typically starts around 6:00. Walk-in guests and potential new members are always welcome to attend the meetings and need not come for dinner. |
